UK Registered Charities

Regional Focus

Both national and local charities delivering benefits in our focus regions: Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Glamorganshire, Gwent, Powys, Camarthanshire and Berkshire

Dual Funding

Both core funding and specific project funding

Priority Areas

We have a preference for charities supporting the young, the elderly, heritage or the natural environment

What we do not fund

The Trust does not provide support to

  • Individuals or organisations applying on behalf of individuals
  • Students seeking sponsorship for educational or gap-year purposes
  • Conferences, seminars or workshops
  • Overseas charities, other than conservation charities or those known to the Trustees
  • Community Interest Companies

  • Registered Charities whose reporting to the Charity Commission has been late in either of the last two years

Frequently Asked Questions

Regrettably we cannot discuss enquiries or projects prior to application.

You will be contacted directly by 31st July of that year. If you have not heard by that time, you should assume that your application has been unsuccessful.

Unfortunately, due to the high volume of applications, we are only able to respond to those we will be funding. We cannot give detailed feedback to those who are unsuccessful.

Please keep your application relevant and succinct, following the word count guide shown in the application form where stated. Please ensure all sections are completed.

The Trustees meet in Spring of each year to review all applications. Those that are successful are subsequently contacted for bank details. Further information may be required for ID purposes on occasion. Please ensure you inform us of any change in contact details after the application has been submitted.

We reserve the right to ask for references or speak to other funders about your organisation.

Not necessarily. If the trustees do not feel they can grant the full sum requested, they may give a smaller amount to help your work with the hope that additional funding will be secured from other sources.

If we have any specific reporting requirements relating to your organisation we will ask you directly, otherwise there are no reporting requirements.
